Bulldogs Post a Top-10 Finish, Four Record Personal-Best at Sting Invitational

BSU ATHLETICS: DOVER, Del. – Bowie State men’s and women’s cross country took a short trip up north for the Delaware State Sting Invitational and came away with a top-10 finish and several personal-best as the men’s squad took home a fourth place finish on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The men’s squad earned the fourth place finish (139) behind Maryland Eastern Shore (74), Morgan State (53) and Delaware State (24). Junior Eric Thomas-Talley (Richmond, VA) finished seventh overall with a time of 17:11.9, marking a personal-best for 2022 thus far while senior Shane Massey (Dover, DE) placed 21st with a time of 18:19.3 to round-out the top-25.

Additionally, sophomore Caleb Rose (Morningside, MD) tabbed 37th overall (20:21.) while sophomore Creedence Jackson (Lanham, MD) ran a personal-best (21:59.4) for 42nd overall.

Freshman standout Destiny Lewis (Huntingtown, MD) ran a personal-best 22:28.7 for 18th overall to lead the Bulldogs women’s squad while freshman Catherine Enwereji (Sicklerville, NJ) also posted a personal-best (25:08) for 30th place.

Delaware State (22) claimed the women’s top team spot, followed by Morgan State (52) and Lincoln (PA) (80).
