Bishop McNamara Head Coach Martin Keithline Wins WCAC Coach of the Year

Last week, the WCAC named Bishop Mcnamara Boys Basketball Coach Martin Keithline as the WCAC Coach of the Year. Keithline led the Mustangs to a 22-6 record and a 12-2 record in the WCAC, finishing the season second overall in confrence.

After winning the award, coach Keithline gave all the credit to his team and coaching staff, saying, “This award certainly is a staff and team award. Our staff, with Coach Gavin, Coach Myers, and Coach Lyde provided incredible coaching to our team. Our team played hard and played together with a common goal of success. Our staff is very proud of our team’s success this year.” 

Mcnamara spent most of the season Nationally Ranked as they dominated during the regular season. The team had three players finish on the All-Met list as well. Forward Favour Aire earned first-team honors and is currently signed to Miami to begin his collegiate career next season. Next season, the Mustangs will return with junior guards Jeremiah Quigley and Jaden Johnson, who received honorable mention all-met honors.
